Berj Busua is the home of the Berj Artist Residency Program, launched by the Joyce Quarshie Foundation as part of the Hannah Kudjoe project, aimed at honoring the legacy of Hannah Kudjoe (a pivotal figure in Ghana's quest for independence) and supporting women creatives and socio-political artists.
Our residency programme offers the artist in residence, the unique and organised opportunity to stay and work in Busua, the quintessential fishing village serving as a sanctuary and an artistic retreat, in an immersive cultural experience that will feed the Artist’s creativity.
